Developed in the early 1990’s and 2000’s, the internet marketing as we know today, has drastically changed how we look at the exchange of products and service. The term internet marketing has today become synonymous with how we look at products and forms the very basis of purchase of global products that otherwise is unavailable at our local retailers.

This, however, was not the case a few decades back when we solely relied on the retailers, and even after the internet became normalized, products selling online were frowned upon with mistrust. Due to the unknown factors of the virtual market, people still believed a face to face communication with the retailers was a necessity in the trust and assured a functional product. The internet was considered a place where people could potentially lose money and be duped by tricksters.

This was expected as with the introduction of any new technology comes the disadvantages of mistrust of individuals not familiar with the system. Investors and company knew from the very beginning that this was the future of advertisement and sales. Soon new ideas were formed, and new companies that focused on the realms of internet technology began to utilize and capitalize on this newly formed globalized market.

This rapidly evolving change in the virtual world brought in the age of new IT companies that were once formed in garages and basements. These, later on, rose to the pinnacle of the industry worth billions over an incredible amount of short time owing to the vast potential of this unexplored market unleashing the potential of a new era of expansion worldwide. 

International markets rose overnight and technology transformed within a decade. The change that took place shocked many but was readily adopted by everyone, and suddenly the vast world now seemed to be within reach of our fingertips and along with it the internet market.
As the market developed, the doors of overseas sales were now also opened to the small-scale sellers who dealt in a plethora of services. With broadening of the lines of sales and induction of virtual malls that collected and sold products from various small producers, the choices of the customer also increased exponentially. 

They could now review products and choose according to their specific requirements within the same range of items from all around the country and even globally thus ushering in a new age modernization that we know today.
